Long Meadow and Vintage in Woodbury.

Warner and Yale Loop in Woodbridge.

Harvard and Poplar in College Park.

Knollcrest and Quail Ridge in Quail Hill

add: Keystone & Regal at Woodbury

I have seen MANY got stopped at Long Meadow & Vintage, and Keystone & Regal. Personally, I got a ticket at Knollcrest and Quail ridge ( T intersection).

[quote author="joeyp" date=1249533833][quote author="SCARLETTE" date=1249525678]for a "rolling stop." It's going to cost $500!!!!! What can I do to reduce the fine? Only second ticket in my life and I didn't remember them being this expensive!

Scarlette, can you post the exact CVC you are charged with violating?

It is the only way to know if you have a chance of beating it. See this site for more information.

I beat a speeding ticket following the instructions on that site a few years ago.

The exact CVC 21453 a. I'll take a look at that website you suggested. Thanks!

Another Woodbury rolling-stop enforcement favorite: Towngate & Hallmark, especially during school hours and late afternoon "rush" hour..

A few months ago I was stopped at Robinson and Asbury in West Irvine around ~10 PM!, c'mon 10 PM!!

I was coming from my office, really tired, only thing that I wanted is to have dinner and go to my bed.

The officer asked me if I knew why he was stopping me, at 1st instance I didn't know, then he gave me a cue, and I was honest and told him that I didn't do a complete stop and waited 1-2 seconds, my bad.

He was kind enough to remind me to do it, and he let me go.

It was a little bit embarrassing that everything was dark outside only the lights of the police car were "glowing" in the middle of the street, some people watching from their windows and incoming cars slowing down to see what was going on.

That is a good one to stop at actually, for safety reasons although it doesn't look like it at first. Saw someone running stop sign almost hit a car coming out of the Quail Meadows rental office once there.

Also saw someone slowly roll though the stop and end up driving onto the grass somehow - just stopped short of the fire hydrant (have no idea how that happened - didn't make a lot of sense unless the driver mistook the sidewalk for the road).

There is often a truck parked near the stop sign which also hides the kids crossing there on their way to school - most are pretty good about traffic safety, but there is a smallish kid (6 years?) I see crossing carelessly there.

So it's a good idea to stop there, cop or not.

Was this a stop sign or a red light?

If it was a stop sign, then you can beat it easily. The officer cited you for CVC 21453(a) which has to do with running a red light. He should have cited you under CVC 22450, which is about running a stop sign.

Just do a trial by declaration and submit some photos of the intersection showing that it has no red light. You are not guilty under CVC 21453(a) since there is no red light. It is that simple.

The only problem with the trial by declaration is that you need to pay the fine first. They will refund you the fine if you win.

joeyp, thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, it was a red light, not stop sign. I am slowly moving towards the fifth stage of grieving...acceptance. I'm taking out the checkbook as I type....

How do you do a rolling stop at a red light? Was it a rolling stop to make a right turn? I just got a ticket for a rolling stop straight through a stop sign, near the L.A. airport, I was mentally preparing myself for a $500 ticket as I heard these fines became more expensive recently, then the citation amount came in the mail, turned out it was "only" $202 so I felt a huge relief at the unexpectedly "low" fine. I'm a lot more careful now about making stops now.

I did not make a complete stop at the red light before turning right.... $200 seems more "reasonable" to me. For a $500 fine, you would have thought I must ran over someone...and then backed up over them ;)

The IPD would then filed this report. "Mentally ill patient dashed into traffic. The body was caught under the axles then caused the mechanism to go in reverse. Victim was alive during investigation and died in a hospital in SANTA ANA.

Lucy said, ?Basically, the officer made me give [him] a freaking hand job and he let me go." That is one mighty expensive handjob.

I wonder how much the taxes will go up to cover that? 100k housing units, means everyone paid $4 for that one!

No, of course not. Irvine is sacred land. The filths only exist just outside the borders of Irvine in Lake Forest, Costa Mesa. and Santa Ana. The club was Captain Creme.

Next time when you get a ticket in Irvine think about how you want to hold it.
