The Slate article was also picked up by the <a href="http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/laland/2008/04/the-coming-cris.html">LA Times</a>.
 
I read that "homedebtor" was referrenced by some dictionary, Wikipedia, maybe?

With no kudos to IR. I read that on a thread at Caluculated Risk.

I wish I could claim credit for coining the term, but I did not. Maybe through Slate, I will get credit for popularizing it.
