Restaurants, shopping, happy hour...

Update on McCormicks. . . They have increased the prices on some of their happy-hours dishes to $4.95. The burger is still $1.95 but was pretty bland the last time I was there.

Stopped by the Wolfgang Puck restaurant at South Coast (I think it is called Puck's) and they had a pretty good happy hour with half-off appeitizers and sushi rolls. You can get a rainbow roll for like $5-6. I did not drink but I believe beers were also half off. Food was pretty good.

They reopened the UCI pub. A few dozen different brews, some bar food, and a nice environment. Lots of students and young people, but its a cool vibe and they have live entertainment some nights.

I haven't been to the new one, but the old pub was a favorite stomping ground for me.

I will have to look up that place, my only beef is that my wife and I are a little older. So being around kids is tough. Plus my wife is also hearing impaired, so it makes problems for us in big crowds when she can't hear anything clearly.
