REO House Below Ours

The house below us just went back to the bank and the people moved out. I don't get it because they have lived in the neighborhood almost as long as we have (15 years). It should be almost paid off, but apparently, they HELOCed themselves out of a home.

Anyway, the slope is eroding and the grass is already dead due to no water for the past month. However, my main concern is the pool (or soon-to-be mosquito cess-pool). Teenagers have already been sneaking into the backyard to scope it out. Will the bank drain the pool? Is there someone I can call to do it? Can I do it myself without getting into trouble?

A house in my mom's neighborhood had a REO home with a green infested pool. A neighbor called the city to report it. The city made the bank drain and clean the pool.

Call Vector Control.

They will put Mosquito fish in the pool.

Draining the pool creates a whole other set of issues.

Especially in the rainy season coming up.

The pool would rise out of the yard as the rains saturate the soil

if its empty.

Fill this out, they'll take care of it.

I wouldn't worry about the slope drying out and the grass dying. It is more stable than if they overwatered it. The erosion will be cosmetic over the near future.
