recommendations for he top load washing machine?

replacing our craptastic 2006 lg front loaders.  need something quiet as the laundry room shares a wall with a bedroom. 
 
We just purchased Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum HE washer/dryer.  Washer gets $250 rebate from the water company.  It works OK, not great the first time and we had to rewash a few items (still smell sweaty) but seems to be better now after several more uses.  Not sure if the load somehow did not "open" during the wash so a few pieces did not get the detergent/water.  We did not get front loaders even though they might look good esthetically.  Our friends and neighbors have had complaints that they had to constantly wipe the water that drips onto the floor every time they open the front loader's washer door.  My wife likes the top loads better anyway.
