Name a daily drinker for someone who's already spent four hours composing cover letters, mailing resumes, and waiting by the phone. It's time to get your drink on! :cheese:

Must be locally available for less than $7.

I'll go first. Available at both Total Wine and BevMo. Total Wine has the 1.5L magnum for under $10. Unexpected balance and complexity from cheap italian. The dryness level is the Mama Bear's porridge! Leave that flat, watery Chianti alone and give this a go. Begs for a bag of Trader Joe's frozen Penne Arrabiata heated in a skillet with two tablespoons of EVOO and sprinkled with a packet of crushed red pepper (free from the Costco eatery).

Great thread, Eff. Thanks for the tip on the chili peppers.

How about Gnarly Head Old Vine Zinfandel? BevMo has it for $8.99. I know it's a little pricey, but I'm a sucker for the old vines. Some of these vines are 80 years old and they tend to yield smaller harvests of more intensely flavored fruit.
