I went to an open house today in Seacliff (Huntington Beach). The house was circa 1972 and partially remodeled, and delusionally overpriced at 1.55 million for 3,000 sq. feet of paradise. What struck me was not the unappealing home, but that sitting out front was the most obnoxiously flashy 2008 Rolls Royce Phantom, with a "look at me" vanity plate with the Realtards name on it. I didn't realize it was hers until my way out, which is probably a good thing, because I might have made a rude comment to her. Of course I have read about certain Realtards being driven around in their Maybach, but not in H.B. Any other realtors pimping in $400K rides?

OMG I totally know what you mean. Just last weekend I was at IrvineRealtor's open house and saw him pulling away in the most outrageous car. I couldn't help but snap a pic with my camera phone. Some people. Yeesh!

Hey, I used to drive a 1962 Aston Martin DB4-GT Zagato. After my career as a real estate agent, I now drive a 1969 Mini Cooper. True story!

Pssh... the ONLY Aston Martin is the DB5! (Mr Bond!)... ok ok, I digress, I love them both!

I love the Mini Cooper also, do you have any upgrades or is it true to the original! I would drive people around in the mustang, but the race seats, urethane motor mounts, big cam, big exhaust, and supercharger whine tend to throw people off..

I built the Mini to vaguely replicate the 1969 works rally cars. At least the color (red with white roof) and the Minilite wheels look the same.

There is a word for the vehicle that Deuce drives around primarily... Jalopy. He has to beg the wife to use the nice ride!

The little lady deserves the nice car for putting up with me.

I forgot to ask MiniDeuce to add a fresh ride to the wish list... maybe next year.

Never understood why realtors and real estate agents rolled around in 80k+ cars. It's not like an attorney or sports agent where you want your client to see your wealth. As a realtor or agent you make money off SELLING things to your client. Do you want to flaunt how much money you are making off of them in their faces?

By the way, I saw a new phantom convertible (if you could believe there is such a thing) last weekend in newport beach.

I never could understand the expensive car thing either. I would think that flaunting a lot of money around would just tee off your clients. Of course these realtors only get their expensive cars by HELOC's on their spouse's home because you guys are forgetting the first law of being a realtor - 99% of us never make any money! Did I mention that my Mini gets 33 mpg? It gets somewhat less when being towed on the AAA truck.....

I also saw that Phantom convertible (although there are probably many of them) in Newport Beach. I was grabbing some Peets coffee at the Corona Del Mar shopping center and the idiot in the Phantom parked it about 5 inches from my Honda Fit. I had to get in my car sideways to avoid dinging the passenger side door.

That was exactly my reaction to the Reatard in the Phantom. Why would I EVER give her my business, if she is flaunting a 400 grand car. She (last name McCall) didn't even have the courtesy to get up from the kitchen table when we walked in to her open house. She just irks me.
