From in flight magazine of mainland China's flagship airline:

"London is generally a safe place to travel, however precautions are needed when entering areas mainly populated by Indians,Pakistanis and black people. We advise tourists not to go out alone at night, and females always to be accompanied by another person when traveling."

Good advice?

The question is? If they didn't give a warning not to travel in certain places, would you have still traveled there?

The airline magazine precautions can be extended to most urban centers. There will always be areas of higher crime and are associated with lower socioeconomic status and often larger concentrations of minority populations.

From a purely statistical perspective, it might be good advice.  That is, if the statistics actually support the advice.  (that I don't know)  Otherwise, it's racist nonsense.  Statistics can be brutal and the truth can hurt.
