Portola Pkwy and Ridge Valley Construction

Anyone know what they are doing at the corner of Portola Pkwy and Ridge Valley?  It looks like a lot of construction activity going on.  Could it be a shopping plaza for Portola Springs or just more homes?

They are extending Ridge Valley to go to the Great Park Homes. They are trying to get it done before the Grand Opening in September.

Anyone on Portola will be super happy for that once it happens, as Sand Canyon will likely be a parking lot in rush hour once everything is built out.

You can't get to Ridge Valley without taking Sand Canyon.

Hopefully the construction they are doing around I-5 and the railroad tracks on Sand Canyon will help keep things moving since that is the biggest mess.

his map shows it to be parallel to sand canyon and 133, terminating at portola.

It won't be called Ridge Valley the whole way. It's going to "D" St for some of the way. It will end at Marine way right before the I-5. I wish they'd have an alternate route to Irvine Blvd and the I-5 and the 241 to go South from this area. They need to connect Portola all the way through to Foothill and Marine Way should go through to Technology.
