orchard hills or cypress village?

All personal preference.

I looked at both and ultimately decided on CV.  I didn't like how far OH was from the freeway but this is the very same reason people love OH and will pay a premium for it.

I love how there is a central park/school in the middle of CV and also CV's proximity to JOST.

The only thing I don't like about CV is that it's zoned to Irvine High and the fact that I have many unoccupied FCB homes on my street where the weeds in the front yard are out of control.

I need to pray for the future of Irvine base on this question.

Is it really THAT bad a question?  If you could afford a $900K house, which is the better area?  I think it all depends....

Yes...OH is nicer, but it's more expensive, it's further from the freeway, further from shopping and closer to the dump.  Yes...CV is on flat land and more dense, but it's completely in IUSD with an elementary and middle school within walking distance.

It's a bad question, because the answer is clear. The premium reflected in pricing answers the question. The real question a buyer has to answer is, "Where should I spend my $900K budget if I really like OH and CV?" That's a more difficult question to answer and very personal.
