OC Middle School Rankings

Just like the elementary schools a couple of weeks ago, OC Register ranked all of the Middle schools in Orange County, with results released this morning. The highest ranked middle schools were grouped into categories: Gold (#1-6), Silver (7-13), and Bronze (14-29) categories. #30-85 did not get a medal.



As with the Elementary rankings, Irvine and the TUSD schools in Irvine/Tustin Ranch pretty much took the entire gold category. Pioneer Middle School (Tustin Ranch and North Irvine) was ranked #1 by a pretty wide margin, followed by the IUSD South Lake, Lakeside, and Rancho San Joaquin at #2-4. Sierra Vista and Venado were both in the silver ranking.

When students are excited to be there before the school gate opens at 7:15 am then that is a sign of motivated and inspired students. I posted this in the past. The students from Pioneer will spike up the bar for Beckman in a couple of years. Students studying Geometry in the 8th grade is really smart and 15% of the student body received straight A is certainly an academic power house. 6 out of 100 cars dropping off the kids in the morning are American made cars.
