This dinner at Sage sounds awesome, especially at that price!

Dear Orange County Tablas Creek supporters,

I will be coming down to Newport Beach next week for a dinner and a tasting, and wanted to forward information on them to you so that you could be there if you were free. The events include a tasting at Wine Lab on Wednesday, June 3rd and a dinner at Sage on the Coast on Thursday, June 4th. I also wanted you to mark your calendars for my next visit into the area on Saturday, August 8th.

Wednesday's tasting will be held at Wine Lab at 2901 W. Coast Hwy in Newport Beach. Proprietor Roger Richards puts on great events each week at this wine bar / wine shop, and we'll be showing at least our five core blends (Cotes de Tablas and Cotes de Tablas Blanc, Esprit de Beaucastel and Esprit de Beaucastel Blanc, and Ros?) plus perhaps another surprise or two. The tasting runs from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and is just $15, and no reservations are necessary. I'll be on hand to talk about the wines, the vineyard, and anything else people are interested in. For more information, call Wine Lab at 949.515.8466.

On Thursday, I will join Chef Rich Mead, wine director David Womack and their team at Sage on the Coast, at 7862 E. Coast Hwy in Newport Beach. I've been wanting to do a dinner with them for years (ever since we collaborated on a dinner with Outstanding in the Field) and am thrilled that it has finally come together. Sage on the Coast is one of the great restaurants in Orange County, and the dinner should be exceptional. The dinner is a 5-course, 6-wine extravaganza that will include our flagship 2006 Esprit de Beaucastel as well as several small-production wines like the 2006 Mourvedre (sold out at the winery), 2008 Vermentino and 2005 Vin de Paille. The dinner is an amazing value at just $60.00 plus tax and gratuity. For more details or reservations, call Sage at 949.715.7243.

As always, we keep an updated list of our upcoming event on our Web site:http://www.tablascreek.com/upcomingevents.html

Finally, a quick reminder for those of you who keep your calendars two months out to save the date of Saturday, August 8th for a dinner with Room Forty. Room Forty is a restaurant without walls that puts on outstanding adventure dinners in art galleries, private residences and other non-traditional spaces around the Los Angeles area. I came down for an excellent dinner in Pasadena in April, and will come to Orange County in August. For more information, visithttp://www.roomforty.com.

I hope that I'll see many of you at one (or more!) of these events. And, as always, if there is anything that I can do for you from here, just ask.

All the best,

-Jason
