We?re considering a new home, is it possible to negotiate longer warranty period after our offered was accepted?  The builder only offers 1 year warranty.

Yeah can definitely ask about getting a longer warranty period but the chances of getting after your offer has been accepted is very slim.  Your best bet would be to try to negotiate a longer warranty period before getting into contract.
