Just put 100 on heat -3
The moneyline bet is only -150.

The site I use didnt have the money line yet
www.vegasinsider.com is my best friend.  Then I can point my dad in the right direction.  My strategy with the moneyline/straight bet combo is to make sure I win enough on the moneyline that I cover the straight bet.  For example, I'm thinking lay $300 on the ML to win $200 and bet $165 to win $150 on the str8 bet.

just curious.  why does the shot clock reset to 5 for that jumpball?  I have never heard of that rule til tonight (which is a surprise in itself) but it just seems to be a rule that should be changed.

I knew that one... (my father used to run the 24-second clock for the Clips back when World.B.Free, Bill Walton, and JellyBean used to run the court.)  ;-)
had to look that up on basketball reference.  So the SD Clippers days?  Looks like they had some young guys that stayed around for awhile on other teams:  Tom Chambers, Terry Cummings, Craig Hodges.

Whoah... I wouldn't bet that much on Miami... although I want them to win... betting on them is another story.

3 scenarios... 1. Miami blows OKC out because they give up... 2. OKC blows Miami out because they know they have 2 more games to finish... or 3. a very close game... of those... I think 1 and 3 are most likely.

I think most know that no team down 3-1 has come back to win the NBA Finals... in fact, I think it's never even gone to a game 7. I have a feeling LBJ is going to play like he did in Boston Game 6. He's going to want to prove himself and make sure they don't go back to OKC. But, in order to win, he's still going to need Wade/Bosh/[Chalmers or Battier] to show up.

Miami has covered the spread the last 3 games right? I think tonight is either -3 or -3.5... so that might be a good bet... but still... you never know.

I hope USC (and Miami) wins tonight.

I made my bet because of a few reasons....1. Miami does not want to go back to OKC because OKC can win both games at home, 2. Harden is just not mentally there without a good game by him OKC can not win, and and 3. I can totally see Westbrook melting down if he is having a tough night.

i think if Miami will take care of business tonite, but not confident enough to put 700 on it.  If Harden shows up OKC can win tonight, i dont think he will though.  I may do another 100-200 on top of the 100 i already put down.

USC - you are going to have to part ways with $250 of your winnings tonite - remember the bets for charity thread?

Yeah I'll follow through on that bet.

Looking like scenario 1...
My dad is watching at Red Rock Casino waiting to cash our winning ticket...he also bet $750 to win $500.  Not bad for less than 3 hours worth of watching.

Whoohoo... Miami Heat are the champs... LBJ finally got his ring (and so did Juwan Howard and Mike Miller).

Let the new criticism begin. :)

great bet man.

Was it just me or did Harden look scared?

Other than Durant, no one else on OKC showed up... even Westbrook looked horrible.

That's youth for you... too young to be champs... but they could be if they can keep the pieces together.
