Started my week off watching bloody HK SPL this morning... Donnie vs Sammo, one of the best...so much blood in this one though, must be going after the Korean crowd

Hey... at least use the US name "Kill Zone"... I had to go Wiki "SPL".

How is it compared to Flash Point? Although anything with Donnie and Sammo has to be good.

And have you seen Fatal Move?

Do you guys watch these movies off Netflix?  Admittedly, we don't have enough time to watch TV/movies.  The DirecTV DVR gets filled from time to time and we have to clean recordings out.  But I like Donnie and Jet movies.

I don't think Kill Zone or Fatal Move have been on Netflix yet, which is why I haven't watched them. Flashpoint was at one time, not sure if it still is.

Ip Man and Ip Man 2 were both on Netflix (might still be) as some other ones like Bodyguards and Assassins (it was okay... pretty slow and Donnie doesn't really have a major role).

I also like Ong Bak... but 2 and 3 were kind of strange.

Anyone recommend any good fighting type movie that they've seen lately?

One of my favorites is actually Kung Fu Hustle (and Shaolin Soccer). They were both kind of parodies but I like them.

Drunken Master is on Netflix I think, bought the original Cantonese soundtrack version from yesasia years ago, still can't get over Jackie's own voice dubbed in English

I have a copy of it, and I swear I have the original.

I love Kung Fu Hustle.  Shaolin Soccer was good too.  Steve Chow movies are great.  Ong Bak was good too.  I've got to think that some of those actors got hurt during the fighting scenes.  Saw IP Man also and enjoyed it.  An oldie that I liked was Iron Moneky.  Haven't watched anything in a long while though.

So besides kung fu movies I also enjoy movies with twist endings... "Momento" is probably one of the best..  followed by the gruesome "High Tension".. these makes you want to watch a second time right after the twist, but some are so twisted that I never want to watch the movie again ("Old Boy").  The ultimate of course is "The Sixth Sense", after that movie I never want to get up in the middle of the night to go pee again...

If you haven't seen these, check them out... especially High Tension if you're ok with blood/gore...I still can't recommend Old Boy, yuck.

I watched HK SPL... didn't like it very much... story was kind of weird and cheesy... Flashpoint was better.

Currently am watching The Man From Nowhere on Netflix... pretty good so far.

Not really a movie but got Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall on DVD from Netflix tonight... not a big musical fan, but this one I like... the music score in this one is one of a kind..
