Id like to start this with.. I hate Oprah. She's a condescending old bat that doesnt appreciate who her core audience is, and for that reason I've never been a fan. Plus daytime tv just bores me. However Oprah did a story yesterday about a little girl named Jani who has been diagnosed with the worst case of childhood schizophrenia on record and I cant get her or her family out of my mind. She is now 7 years old.

Jani spent over 170 days in the UCLA psychiatric ward in 2009.
You can read about her here... <a href="http://www.janisjourney.org/index.php?option=com_wrapper&view=wrapper&Itemid=104">Janis Journey.org</a>
Her father is a professor of English at UCLA and I find him really articulate, however he is obviously biased, and worried about his daughter. Please keep that in mind, and try to refrain from judging them until you understand the core issues with Janis illness and why her parents have chosen to handle the problems in this manner.
