So what's your crazy morning routine like... here's mine (acutally starts the night before)..

prep the coffee machine for 5 am brew

wake up with wife, pour coffee in to go cup and put in her car (yes I spoil her)

drink my cup of joe, check on the kid

if tired I go back to sleep (yes coffee has no effect on me except if I don't drink it it gives me a pounding headache at 1pm)

"wake" up again around 7:45am

make the kid's lunch for school (leftovers, trader joe's rosemary ham sandwich, buca's spaghetti, soak/wash strawberries, apple sauce, etc.)

get the sand out of said kid's shoe from prev day (how can there be so much sand?  it's like she's digging a way out of school like Shawshank)

wake kid up around 8 am (play soft music to wake her, select school clothes, comb hair into ponytail, give milk)

kid go wee wee, put on shoes, out the door by 8:30am to school...

then i either go to work if I'm scheduled or go back home if scheduled later...

if so I do some laundry, TI, video games, watch dvr'd Laker game from two months backlog, run dishwasher, hose down my yard (stupid sprinkler!), pay bills, make calls..

and rinse and repeat.. the joys of life

wake up at 6am, take the dogs out for a potty break in the yard, take care of the three S's (the guys will know what im talking about). take the dogs for the morning walk, feed them breakfast, ,have a cup of cereal, put them in their play pen and give them their morning treat, head off to work.

PS9 - you ever take the 5hour energy instead of coffee? i buy the xtra strength at costco. i dont drink coffee but take a 5 hour if i get tired.

Never tried 5hr, it's just b vitamins no?  I would go thru hell (caffeine withdrawal, migraines) if I dare switch...

you should try them, its mostly caffeine, i think it does have some b vitamins though, so you probably would avoid the headaches without having to consume all the extra liquid (or calories depending on the type of coffee drink).

I shower quick... helps me wake up... and I won't have bedhead.

I'm not a heavy construction worker so not a lot of funk (hopefully) at day's end.

I take care of my cow licks with heavy gel in the AM... So far so good...  Actually my hair poofs up after shower and needs time to settle back down...  Night showers is the way to go for me.. Bet you can't argue this... YOU DON'T GET DIRTY WHILE YOU SLEEP so why wait till morning?

There are some potent antioxidants in coffee....  I'm a simple drip coffee guy.... Lots of coffee mate, real sugar... Done.. Sometimes I just drink it black if I make some toast with jam.  I rarely Starbuck it unless I get a giftcard to use.

Set the alarm for 6am but hit the snooze button once or twice.  Watch some CNBC and snack on some cereal while checking emails and doing some options trading.  No coffee for me, I don't like anything coffee related.

4AM - Alarm goes off... Wake up, put on my running gear, brush my teeth, kiss the wife and baby and go out for a 3-4 mile run.

4:30AM - Shave, hop in shower, get dressed

4:31AM  :P- Eat breakfast I made last night

4:32AM - Kiss the wife and baby again and I'm off to work.

4:35AM - I'm at work....  ::)

See I knew Homer's would include some type of physical activity... I'm surprised he didn't also put in 100 situps, 100 pushups, 100 pullups, benchpress 250lbs 100 times, squatpress 500lbs 100 times etc etc.

That's before bed!

Add getting pulled over by IPD to my routine this morning, still made it to school/work in time!

All that bad karma you earned from honking at innocent-not-taking-right-on-red-on-Culver/Portola-mommy-drivers! So, got a ticket? Contesting? Give us the scoop! Hope they didn't find the stash of kale in the trunk and call it objectionable substance ;-) (Oh wait, that would be Homer!)

You asked me on the other post about that sign. I will find the link later, but around two years ago, a middle schooler was run over by a SUV at that spot.. (luckily survived)
