More people left California than any other state last year

It's pretty obvious: He has to build her a custom display case (complete with lights, overpressure air filtration, mirrors, and lights) to hold her MLP collection before he's getting any lovin', after which he gets the bottle of wine... provided his 'performance' was acceptable.

I actually really want that...except it would be case<strong>s</strong>. And don't forget the sunlight and humidity controls!

[quote author="stepping_up" date=1232020556]What did you think of Opolo? It's been our list of wineries to try, but still haven't been. BTW, we always share tastings and even at that, I'm mighty impressed by how many you two tasted at in only 2.25 days.</blockquote>

Opolo was a bust, but they did give us free, freshly-grilled sausages to try with the wine. The sausages were better.

We did go to places with cheese pairings (Jada) and/or other goodies (olive oil, sauces, walnuts) to sample so the nibbling helped me survive. Oh, and lots of water. :)

I'm sorry, it was late when I typed that. It should have read "mirrors, and glass shelves" and I should have also mentioned that these case<strong>s</strong> would occupy a new wing in his Villa Park abode.

Like this, maybe:

<em>"California hasn't seen such a prolonged period of departures outweighing newcomers <strong>(from within the US, that is)</strong> since the downturn of the early 1990s."

<strong>"The number leaving remains a drop in the ocean given the 38 million who call California home and the fact births and overseas immigrants are actually pushing the overall population up.</strong>"</em>

================

IMO California as a whole is pretty sparsely populated. How many real urban cities do we have in this State?

C'mon, the similarities to the 90's is getting so close that not only are the events the same...now the names are. One happened in 1991 and one happened today..DOH!!

Sheesh... the next thing you know you will be posting an article comparing Robert Citron to Chriss Street. Like Chrissy would invest in some crazy derivatives like Citron did... oh... wait... nevermind.

I remember Trump came to the southland a few years ago and he was asked about real estate values. He conceeded that it was maybe 10% too high or so, but thought that the people who were saying that it is way too high were just jealous and whining because they didn't buy any.

Oh, really Mr. Trump?

"Apt. rents drop for first time in 13 years" Hmmm, lets see, 2008 minus 13 equals? C'mon, say it!!! 1995!!! History my brother, history. Eerie, isn't it?

Actually, I remember clear what he said, he said:

"housing demand high, interests low"...and go to my "Get Rich Quick" conference in the LA convention center...certainly he was cashing in...along with the "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" guy...I take all what they say with a huge graint of salt...they are just pedaling their own bikes or like stock traders say, they are "talking their books"

One more reason to stay....I mean Go.

<blockquote>Marta Sanchez and her husband bought their Panorama City house inApril of 2006, their hearts beaming with hope and high expectations.

"We could finally say, 'this is ours' and stop throwing our money away in rent," Sanchez says, recalling the excitement at the time. Then her smile quickly fades. "If only we could have known what was coming."

Almost three years later, the Sanchez's are among thousands of San Fernando Valley families teetering on the brink of foreclosure.

In the 28th U.S Congressional District, in the San Fernando Valley alone, more than 23,000 homes are in danger of foreclosure this year. The Sanchez's join those who, broken hearted, have seen their dreams crumble alongside property values, anxiety rise with interest rates, and who with every missed payment, have only sunk deeper over their heads.

"We didn't know this catastrophe was coming - that property values would plummet and the economy would be like this," she says.

Since their loan from Countrywide Financial adjusted last June, the Sanchez's have not been able to keep up with the $5,000 monthly for their three-bedroom house.

"We've only been paying interest on our home for the last two years.

We haven't even begun to cover the principle, so in a way it's like renting. And for $5,000 we could be renting a house in Beverly Hills," she said.
