So in homage to SoCal78... if you were set financially but still wanted to work... what kind of job would it be?
I have a few that I would like to do... the only reason I don't pursue them now is they would probably not pay the bills (some could, but the job is unattainable), so in no certain order:
1. NBA player:
Obviously this is the unattainable one... the only problem with this is travel (which I'm not fond of) and being away from the family for days at a time.
2. NBA staff job:
This would be for when I'm too old to play (or not talented enough)... same cons as above without as many pros.
3. Home design consultant:
I have no idea what kind of qualifications you need or even if I have the skillset for this position, but I would like to have a say in how homes are designed and built... esp considering how poor the current TIC ones are.
4. Mobile gadget design consultant:
Like homes, I obsess about electronics and it would be great to design a notebook computer, tablet, video game console or smartphone.
5. Software designer:
Video games or industry applications... it's like making something out of nothing.
6. Teacher:
Not sure what grades... but I think it's fun to help educate our future.
7. Youth basketball coach:
I guess this combines 1, 2 and 7?
8. Retail store owner:
I actually like working retail... just not sure what type of retail store? Mobile electronics?
9. Restaurant/Casual dining owner:
I think I prefer the casual dining more than the restaurant... something innovative and fun... gourmet donuts (I saw something like this in the paper the other day)?
10. Either Tim Cook's (Apple) or Larry Page's (Google) job:
It must be interesting to be able to touch so many lives... leading the edge of technology.
What's your dream job?
