I almost got hit in the parking lot. I don't know it is was the weather or what.

I was going straight and the car in front of me pulled to the side. I continued to go straight because I saw no cars in front of me. All of the sudden a car backed up. I honked and the car kept on backing up.

The thing that gets me -  I got the look, like it's my fault. (I just drove off. I was suppose to buy my daily multi vitamins at a discount. Coughs)

If it were a white woman, then yes, it was your fault. She doesn't have eyes at the back of her head, you know.

hope in our lifetime we can eliminate the need to drive cars.

They are getting better over the last 10 years. Audi's new q7 supposedly has some really good features
Or wait for a self driving Google mobile.

I recommend getting a car with a 360 or bird's eye view camera and cross traffic detection... prevents these type of things.

But I probably would have given the look too... I'm backing up... I can't see you (especially behind a car that pulled to the side) but you can see me so why can't you wait the extra 10 seconds?

:)

The car that pulled to the side, the driver was on the phone and the passengers were getting out. (You know how it is, people double park by the front or side of costco)
If I waited like you suggested, it would be several minutes or more not 10 seconds.

I think I did the car backing up a favor, by honking and manuver away to avoid the accident. At the end of the day, it would of been her fault.

Only if she broadsides you. Otherwise the person proceeding is majority at fault. By zipping around the other stopped car, you proceeded in an unsafe manner.

And quit deluding yourself pretending to be doing them a favor, your attitude regarding it is clearly selfish, me first.

I didn't zip around the car that was double parked. The car backing up has to yield to other cars.

Car going straight and a car backs up to the car going straight, will be at fault.

You already said you went around the car that stopped. They were letting people out.

You just kept going.

When the other car stopped it yielded right of way, hence the other car backed out.

And IHO is right, it'll be about 10 seconds to let the car back out, but you clearly can't wait.

Irvine is becoming a real sh'thole because so many have your attitude.

But no problem, run them over, or the people getting out.  Have fun with the lawsuits that will be coming your way.
