[quote author="FairEconomist" date=1236567810]<blockquote>That is the very definition of COLLAPSE!!!</blockquote>

Not necessarily. Could also be the definition of "mortgage fraud".</blockquote>

I'm not sure that is the case here. I think that was the price from the builder so there wasn't alot of room to pump and dump. I just think it was some fool specer watching too muck "Flip This House" on HTV

Collapse in the Shore continues. Another has been million dollar property (been empty for 2years) hits the market with a thud!!

i dunno. is anything north of 2nd still "the shore"?

plus, looking at neighboring comps, that is only a drop to mid-2003 prices, no?

Wait until similar units hit $400k

Technically yes, I count anything between Broadway and Ocean with Rednondo bordering one side and Naples the other as the Shore.

Way to go LB!! Sellers are coming to their senses. Drops like this are what you need if you wanna move some real estate.

Nice. Thats exactly what I'm looking for myself.

I can't find it now, but there was a condo in Ladera Ranch that was re-priced from 475K to 295K. I was pretty shocked...I almost went out to see it...almost.

So much out there this morning. Look at this former million dollar abode. Do you think these people even settled in by the time they lost it 21 months later? Kinda sad really.

Gawd Realtards make me laugh. I love this description<strong>..."OK, Now Seller is ready to sell, ***Major price reduction!!!"</strong> So the previous 250 plus days on the market he was....not ready to sell? Well, good thing he is ready now because at $430 a square foot I don't think anyone is "ready" to buy it yet.

A major price reduction of $40k for that shoebox? HAHA I have one piece of advice for the seller and realtor...KEEP GOING ON THOSE REDUCTIONS! That thing will be LUCKY if it sells for $300k.

Are these pics really from MLS? Why would a RE agent takes these pics? I once saw only one pic of a listing and it's a pic of the garage door. What the heck?

These may be the BEST attributes of this house.

Here is another classic pricing "strategy" Start with an unholy high price and move it around constantly so the buyers can't focus on the blur of changing numbers, always trending it down so as to chase the market into a hole. Brilliant!!!! That is why we pay them so much money...they deserve it

The picture of the "Huge den with a cabin like feel" is my favorite:

<img src="http://media.cdn-redfin.com/photo/46/bigphoto/492/P670492_3_3.jpg" alt="" />

The combination of the cat (OH, HAI! I'M IN UR LIZTING, STAGIN UR HOWZ), wood paneling, and the monkey painting...*sigh*...it's magic.
