That's what my mom told me too when it happened at Disneyland when I was 4... well.. I thought it was to get me to stop crying.. darn gullible Chinese boy! :(

PS9... I suck at this game so I really don't know what a provocative truth question would be:

Since you watch fight movies... have you ever been in one (a fight... not a movie)?
 
Playground fights count?  If not, then no...never had to do any street monkey fighting for my life or loved ones...hopefully stays that way.. but if someone attacks my family... monkey slaps all around..

Maybe in my younger days when I was much stronger, good shape and full of testosterone. But now I am more mature and more of cuddly bear. Fighting no longer makes sense, too much to lose. So PS9 can reign as the TI tough guy and IHO can reign as the TI chimp

i walk my dogs twice a day, every single day i encounter a person on a bike on the sidewalk, and it annoys me that they expect me to move out of the way when it is much easier for them to ride on the grass and go around (one of my dogs always tries to bite people on bikes so she starts barking and pulling towards the bikerider (i need to train her better but that is another topic). When im walking my dogs, I get out of the way for pedestrians that are coming down the sidewalk, so i would expect the bike rider to do the same for me since the pedestrian walking should have the right of way.  So allow me to introduce the racial component into this as well  :)  its always the damn old asian folks on the bikes that dont move onto the grass.  the younger kids typically get on the grass and ride around. 

So that is my pet peeve, i actually dont know if it is even illegal for bikes to be on sidewalks in irvine so maybe im just crying over nothing.

I think it could be 2 things. Asians have a sense of entitlement and always have the right of way. Since you are a Mexican then you should step aside because Asians obviously are intellectually far more superior than you. Your relatives always walk around them while they do the landscape. To them you are just a hired dog walker for an Asian family.

The second theory could be their bike riding skill is just as bad as their driving skill. They only know how to steer straight therefore they can't go around you.

Pat Star - does a part of you ever wish you would have stayed in Irvine?  Do you miss anything about it?

I enjoyed the 5+ years in Irvine very much. Made some great friends and had a great time.  I could have easily stayed there for a life and been just fine.  But you know, now that we are gone there is really not much I miss about it.  Honestly.  For the most part we have been able to completely replicate all the good things we liked about Irvine, and with the added bonus of family around the corner --- and more house for the money. But I understand I had a unique situation where I could move into a comparable (and more affordable) community near family AND not give up anything on the work commute --- and I understand not everyone has that option.  For us, however, a no brainer. 

But there are two things I do miss dearly:
1) Proximity to Disneyland
2) Proximity to the beach (specifically Aliso Beach and Salt Creek --- our two favs)

I could probably give up Disneyland for a 3CWG and single-loaded view lot. :)
