Anyone plan on going to the LA Auto Show?

I went yesterday on the first public day. Crowds were pretty small during the morning. It was fun seeing all the new cars and concepts.

My favorite cars so far:

Porsche Cayman

Jaguar F type

Lexus LF-LC Blue cncept

Audi S8

Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series

Great!  Now I don't have to go.   

I'm stuck at home this weekend installing our kitchen backsplash, so I will go next weekend.  The car show is on my very short list of yearly to-dos.  It's a great venue for dreaming about shiny new toys.  This year I thought I would splurge and go on the sneak preview night, but I couldn't figure out if I could get away from work in time until that morning, and by then they weren't selling tickets anymore. 

My wife and I often look at the window stickers of what are fairly mundane cars, and we both agree "we would never pay $40K for a daily driver!!!!".  But then I could easily see myself (certainly not "us") paying 2x as much for a weekend toy.  My priorities might be a bit off.
