Korean BBQ IHB Meet on Saturday, March 14th @ 7pm in Hawaiian Gardens

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
You can blame this on Momo, but I think it would be a great idea to have a weekend meet next weekend @ 7pm at the following location (this is for all you Korean BBQ lovers like me):

Pal Gak Jung

12545 Carson Street

Hawaiian Gardens, CA 90716

(562) 924-9230

After dinner, we can head over for a little Texas Hold'em Poker action at Hawaiian Gardens Casino (No_Vas in particular). I'd like to get a good list of people so I can call and reserve us a nice big table. I'll start the list.

Trojan, I'm suprised that not a lot people signed up yet. You know i would totally be there if I was living in OC. To maximize your $14.95, you have to totally load up on the kalbi.

Man... all-you-can eat Korean BBQ and poker... where was this when I had no responsibilities? But then again... back then I wouldn't have enough money to eat a $15 meal and gamble too... ahh... life is ironic.

Come on IHO, since I didn't get a chance to meet you last night you gotta come out on Saturday night. Bring the wife if you have to.

[quote author="Astute Observer" date=1236653257]Hawaiian Garden? I afraid that I will get robbed with all the gold chains and diamond rings I have on... ;)

Don't worry, you can use me as your human shield. I should be able to fend off all the would-be robbers.

[quote author="biscuitninja" date=1236639632]I'll give it a shot, Ms Ninja might be in tow.

We will see.

Bix, hope you can make it since I didn't get to meet you last night. Bring Ms. Ninja if she is in town.

[quote author="momopi" date=1236607850]Assuming my dentist doesn't kill me in his chair that day, I'll try to show up. ^^;;

Good meeting you last night Momo. I think you should reward yourself with some good Korean BBQ after the pain you will go through with the dentist. ;)

Try their Tri-ad special "Shoot Yu Gai Pan".

I'll definitely keep that in mind for the next meet, but Tri-Village isn't near a poker card room. haha

I suggest meeting at the back of Albertsons and start some poker game there. Mr. Zhu's good luck spirit may help me win a game or two.

Turkish: F@ck me, hold tight. What's that?

Tommy: It's me belt, Turkish.

Turkish: No, Tommy. There's a gun in your trousers. What's a gun doing in your trousers?

Tommy: It's for protection.

Turkish: Protection from what? "Zee Germans"?

Hope you can make it Vic.

Note: The Korean BBQ restaurant is in a stand-alone-ish building in the parking lot, next to the street. It's not attached to the Zion supermarket on the other side of the parking lot.

The Zion market in HG has some good deals if you shop carefully. If you go there earlier in the day, they have someone making the hot sweet pastry desert for $1 inside (look to the right).

For those who like to gamble at the casino and leave late, like middle of the night, I recommend driving couple blocks up to Four Seasons Cafe (HK style) in Artesia:

http://www.yelp.com/biz/four-season-cafe-artesia

Food quality is hit or miss, but it's cheap, located in a safe area, and they're open late. Alternatively, you could take the 405 to Westminster and eat $1 tacos at the 24 hr taco places. Look in food section for post titled "recession buster $1 items".
