In hindsight, don't you think Kobe should have at least gone in the 2nd round? I had a chance to get him in the 3rd round but thought he would come back in the 4th, the guy after me picked him up.

I would take Kobe over Serge (I even have Serge on one of my teams), Blake (even though I am a Clipper fan), Melo (who I dislike and is having a horrible season), Noah, Drummond and Batum.

No...Kobe is inconsistent and pretty much a scoring guy.  Fantasy sports is all about versatility.  Not to mention, you didn't know how long Kobe can last this season.

Neither is Melo, Noah, Drummond, Blake or Batum (and Ibaka is 39). So my eye-test summary seems on par with the stats.

So yeah, I would still take Kobe ahead of those guys in the 2nd round.

In one of my leagues, which is points based, Kobe is 3rd in both SG and SF and 7th at PG. I don't think there is any other 3-position player in Yahoo that is in the top 10 in their 3 positions. This makes him more useful than players you would conventionally draft ahead of him.

I will be the last one to defend Kobe, but statistically, at least in my points-based Yahoo Fantasy league, as of right now, he's a 2nd rounder.

It's Points H2H. The guys like Football type scoring... I've been trying to get them to switch to stats but it's more work for them to track.
