If you like Japanese style glasses frame, try J!NS. They have a few locations in LA including Del Amo mall (Torrance) and Santa Anita mall (Arcadia). Interesting both locations are near Ding Tai Feng and Uncle Tetsu cheesecake.
I took my daughter’s prescription to the Del Amo mall location and got her backup glasses for $150. If they have the lens in stock it’s possible to pick up on same day. They don’t process insurance so you have to file claim yourself, but the price is cheap enough.
I usually get my glasses at OWNDAYS in Taiwan, but Torrance is a lot closer than TW/JP/SG and the frames are comparable.
In Japan JINS, Zoff, and OWNDAYS are considered mid budget option compared to Kaneco and Paris Miki at higher price point. Low budget would be Eyemirror.
