Shake Shack will make its OC debut this summer at the Irvine Spectrum Center
New York City-based Shake Shack is opening its first-ever Orange County location this summer at the Irvine Spectrum Center.
The burger restaurant will be located next to the Regal movie theater on the north side of the Irvine shopping center, which currently counts 169 stores.
“Irvine Spectrum has been a great partner for our first OC Shack, and we are looking forward to growing our presence in the market with further planned Shacks in Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach,” Chief Development Officer Andrew McCaughan said in a statement.
The Spectrum is OC’s fifth largest retail center with total sales of $631 million as of June 2022.
The upcoming Huntington Beach location will also include a drive-thru.
The first Shake Shack store opened in 2004 and the company now has more than 430 restaurants in the U.S. and internationally.

never tried it, thought people compares it with in&out and Fiveguys continuously.

No opening date, so they probably just signed the lease. Going to take another year before it opens then.

I’ve had it at Long Beach and Vegas, I like it, burgers are better than five guys imo.

I remember articles mentioning hour long lines when they first opened in NY, it’s not that good. Lol. Much like orobae, not waiting > 5 people in line for decent boba

Shake Shack uses leaf lettuce on burgers. It should be illegal. Only fresh, cold, shredded lettuce should be allowed. In-N-Out gets a pass because their lettuce is still iceberg cold and crunchy.

No way. Shredded iceberg lettuce is the worst. I absolutely hate it. I so much prefer leaf lettuce.

Isn’t there a Unami Burger by the Regal? Interesting place for another burger joint.
Does anyone go to Umami, I went to the one in LA years ago when everyone was talking it up, and it wasn't great. Went to the Irvine Umami a few years ago when I had a bogo coupon and I still wouldn't go back with another coupon.

I agree with you there, no go on the shredded for me

Prices for Umami happy hour aren’t bad if I remember. What is interesting to me is the Spectrum Umami isn’t listed as a location under main Umami website. Not sure why.

It is probably because it is part of the Irvine Improv comedy club.

If not for Improv I donno how Umami @ Spectrum stays in business.

Interestingly they expanded to Tokyo and offer breakfast sandwiches there:

The Paris location also sells California wine.

Why no King Taco in Irvine?
Do they have Taco Tuesday?

Which King Taco do you go to and what do you order?

Any King Taco I'm near by at the moment. The last one I've been to was at Long Beach. I usually get cabeza tacos and carne asada sopes.
