Irvine ranked 9th best place to raise family

There's something wrong with the methodology if Irvine is placing 30th in affordability, beating out 120 high cost cities like Tulsa, OK, Little Rock, AR and Huntsville, AL.

Maybe they correct for average income relative to cost of living.

So the wallethub folks are in tune with the stealth economics of FCBs and others with unreported incomes?  I think the issue is the category name of "affordability" doesn't quite jive with what they actually measure.  Yes, I know Irvine has higher average income, but I just don't see it offsetting the cost of living compared to the flyover states.

Median household income is 93K. Incomes do not support these prices.

Reported census income.

FCB, multi-family, retiree, and parent-funded student income messes with this number.

I think you just proved his point.  Incomes do not support the prices if people have to resort to multifamily living/parent funded incomes to purchase homes in Irvine or if only FCBs can buy
