Irvine one of Money Magazine's Top 100 places to live in 2010

I can't find the online OC Register link but the article said Irvine ranked 22nd on the list. The only other SoCal city was Yorba Linda at 38th.

I think it also said Irvine did not make the list in 2009 but was 4th in 2008.

Surprisingly, Irvine also came in as #5 on their list of best places to live for the rich and single (#1 was Newport Beach). I can understand the rich part seeing as how much homes cost, but the single part must be all those UCI students... heh.

That statistic is for the Rich/Single list, the top 100 best list has different criteria (which I can't find) and I'm sure it was housing affordability that kicked it off 2009's list.

I know that Irvine has been the safest city of its size in the nation for the past 5 years running.  I wonder if it will get that title for the 6th year in a row this year.

With all the crime cover up Irvine Police Department practices everyday, I am sure the Number 1 spot will likely be manufactured again.  (end sarcasm)
