Irvine getting 137 new townhomes priced under $600,000

Call it what you want, I look at the map and I see concrete jungle "housing projects".

The units are 3 and 4 bedrooms.  Where do the kids go.on that map?

It's YUPPIE-ville.

Or temporary 6-month housing for overseas tech workers.

Or birthing facility.

Given the likely investor levels, this project may become un-financeable. Once you reach 51% Non-Owner Occupant, lenders shy away from these units.

A very Soviet era styled Brutalist design. Sure, there's some gingerbreading to make the homes look nice, but with 10+ hours of jet flyovers, I can't imagine there being that big of a draw to live here even at these price points.
