Irvine for Responsible Growth

I'm getting inundated by fliers for YES on B. 5Points and their PACs are going into overdrive.

I still haven't seen a SINGLE sign or flier on voting NO on D. It will be a second loss Irvine for Responsible Growth if it passes.

Belly says no on B. (right?)

BTB is NO on B but he is fighting an uphill battle against 5P.

I say YES on B & C; NO on D.

Take a look at five points stock performance.
Take a look at Belly?s recommendation to buy Delano at EW and the performance relating to appreciation amount.

Who do you trust?

My comment has nothing to do with trust.  Simply a matter of $$$ being spent. Based on all the junk mail I?m receiving, the YES on B PACs are outspending the NO side by a wide margin.

As for which way I vote, it simply comes down to the issues. I throw all the fliers into the trash. A Yes vote on B is a reasonable compromise that lets all parties win.

The one thing that sickens me is how they are using veterans as a pawn (both sides).

Saying shit like "Real veterans say No on B" or "Real veterans say Yes on B".  F that.  Veterans should be happy no matter which location it ends up on.  They appreciate that they are being appreciated.  What they might not appreciate, though, is being used as pawns in a political game.  It's disgusting.  It's even more disgusting seeing the signs when driving around on Memorial Day or seeing the ads on Facebook.

Yes, there might be a real veteran who lives in Irvine who has a biased opinion on the matter, but that guy's opinion is based on the other political issues.  The real issues are:
-More possible traffic.
-Five Points getting free money.
-People buying homes there being afraid to live next to it.
-People hoping their real estate values shoot up

Tomorrow is election day. Please remember to vote NO on Measure D.

Please preserve your right to vote on future development within Irvine.

Agreed

What's the issue with D?  That's the one that Irvine PD wants right?

I read Prop D to ban future Prop Bs.

Oh...okay.  Then I would be against prop D if I am for prop B.  Fun.

I think that if Prop D passes, in the future the city council would be able to do the landswap without needing voter approval.

I don't want that either.

but if we let the city council make the decision, just think of all the trees we'd save from all the fliers in the mail and the multitude of signs at every street corner

The developer money is strong in Irvine. This is definitely not the last of the political drama.
