Bren should fire his CPA... $1.4M refund? He shouldn't be overpaying taxes. Also why doesn't his CPA use modern technology---i.e. direct deposit?

Definitely bad tax planning on his CPA's part.

Who knows, maybe Bren is old school (well, we know he's old and thin, not bald and middle aged like the perp) and doesn't want the gov to have direct access to his accounts (as if he could stop them).

I guess if I was really old school then I'd take the $1.4M in cash.
