Irvine area served by Santa Ana schools

I was talking to an acquaintance, and she was telling me that for the area of Irvine where she lives (off Jamboree near the 405), the area is served by Santa Ana schools. I never knew about this. She rents, but is planning on moving now that her child will be entering school next year. Apparently whatever school they are zoned for (don't know which one) is about 30 minutes away.
 
Yeah... many of mid-rises in the Jamboree area and homes that Lennar is building in that Central Park West are zoned to SA schools.

I don't really get that kind of housing if you have kids but some people prefer the big city life.
