Is anyone else wondering what the heck is going on in OC ?

I just received a rent increase from $940 to $1100 a month.

Are all the management companies in OC going crazy with their rental prices or what ?

And my apt is a Studio !! :(

I have been looking in riverside county, but just the thought of the commute is another night mare for me to consider.

Just wondering if anyone has the "too high rent blues"

Agree.

I rent for $2400, and I see at least 4 vacant units in my floor, but none of them is showing up in the Irvine ompany Rental-Living website.

They listed only a couple of units from another building with even higher prices than 6 month ago.

I wonder why they do that, while I clearly see the vacancy rate is VERY high (basically 50% of the floor is vacant).

Weird, but I am sure they do not want to list 20+ vacant units on their website.

<p>Hi Felecia714,</p>

<p>We have another <a href="http://forums.irvinehousingblog.com/discussion/1774/iac-renters-check-the-prices-before-you-renew-your-lease/#Item_42">thread</a> discussing this very situation. We'd love to have your input over there. </p>

you can find much better deals than that before going to riverside!

check out Costa Mesa and Huntington. Even Lake Forest or Aliso Viejo!

there is a studio near me, 4 blocks from the beach in HB with a sign out renting for $875 (huntington/chicago corner)
