In need of a carpenter for a small job in the Irvine area

I'm in need of a good carpenter or a handyman with good carpentry skills to remove and re-install the window casing and moulding from a bedroom window so that a window contractor can replace the window pane (probably a 1-2 hour job). Can anyone give me a referral or two? Thanks in advance.

Did you ever get one?

I need a guy who can help me make a built-in in our entertainment niche.

I think the IHB needs a forum for this referral stuff... I'm also looking for someone to help me install some lighting and maybe some ceiling fans.

I used ServiceMagic but those guys seem pretty expensive.

Yeah, Graph and Tmare referred me a really good guy. PM me for his contact info.

I haven't used them myself, but you might try Good Home Construction. I was impressed by them because the people who own it actually work on the site, rather than picking up help at Home Depot, dropping them off, and retrieving them (and your money) at the end of the day.

Always, always, check and see if your contractor is licensed!

And don't hire these contractors.
