Liberal Activists Need to STFU:

"But Santa Paula?s police chief, Steven McLean, said there were no ICE arrests in his town and criticized activists for heightening fears during anxious times.
?What it did was unnecessarily cause fear in my community when they could have simply picked up the phone,? he said, and ?called the chief of police ? who happens to be Latino ? and hear it from me instead of just putting out that press release that just caused all kinds of fear in the Hispanic community"

Things like this could backfire. I imagine those who were planning on sneaking over the border are rethinking their plans and some are deciding to go home on their own out of heightened fear that was "fake".

Big reason why the media needs to have a reality check.

What happened to all those stories about blacks getting beaten by cops?  Did it all of a sudden stop?  Their agenda is now focused on trump.

"The blacks" were being shot and killed by cops.

Most of that was "fake news" though.  Some of it real.  Most of it, including the key stories that started the movements, were full of dishonest intent.

The vast majority of "news" you see, on TV or the web, is designed to entertain. Their goal is to get and keep you watching. Folks should be reading to stay informed. I recommend The Economist.

Too funny, while writing this, I flipped to Fox News to see what they were broadcasting this morning, and saw a tease on a segment about an illegal alien in the US who has murdered some folks. Flipped to MSNBC and saw Sharpton tease a segment about what has changed since Trayvon Martin.

This is all entertainment for the choirs. There is substance here, but it requires a keen eye to sort through all of the garbage.

The dead blacks shot by the police were real. They are not alive anymore.  The news repors of the incidents were exaggerated to fit a particular agenda, whether you were watching Fox or CNN.

Swedish 'national security advisor' interviewed by Fox News not known to Swedish officials: report

Fox News's ?The O'Reilly Factor? this week featured a guest with inaccurate credentials, The Washington Post reported Saturday.

During the show on Thursday, the network invited Swedish journalist Anne-Sofie Naslund and ?Swedish defense and national security advisor? Nils Bildt to talk about the country's immigration policy.

According to the Post, the Dagens Nyheter newspaper on Friday reported that Bildt is unknown to the Swedish Foreign Ministry and the armed forces.

The newspaper reported that Bildt came to the U.S. from Sweden in 1994. He is listed as one of the founders of Modus World LLC, a company that provides consulting "and management of possible kidnap and ransom situations.?
?I made clear that I am an independent analyst,? Bildt told the Post, noting he did not choose the credentials under which he was introduced.

Fox News defended their decision to book Bildt, stating that the guest was pre-interviewed and was recommended by numerous sources.

?Our booker made numerous inquiries and spoke to people who recommended Nils Bildt and after pre-interviewing him and reviewing his bio, we agreed that he would make a good guest for the topic that evening,? the executive producer of show, David Tabacoff, told the Post.

O'Reilly is expected to address the issue during his show Monday night, a network spokesperson told The Hill.
