That's not racist... that's factual. Much of the food consumed in SoCal (location not member) has been prepared/cooked by an ethnicity other than the style of food it actually is.

In Javier's, for example, the cooks are Chinese.

Looks like I need to check out Javier's then.  Jim Rome (a more famous Irvine resident) has been pimpin' Javier's for a long time now.  Any recommendations on what to order there?

Eh... it's good but I'll take bad-for-you Mexican food like Alberto's over it.

I think a popular dish is the Tablata(?) where two or more people share some protein selections and put it together with beans, rice, etc on tortillas. Basically an expensive make your own soft taco bar.

I usually just get the traditional combos... boring but lower on the price scale. The Mrs. gets the more expensive/exotic dishes (carnitas, seafood enchiladas etc).
