IHB needs a resident bull on board

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
Does anyone remember Kevin and Bean's April fools joke on the land of the dirt people? The 909 apology tour?

That's it, blame the Floridian. The panhandle of Florida is another country, where they speak English. I guess nobody even wants to talk about being a bull.

I caught a newstory last week about a guy in Flordia who was fleeing from the law and jumped into an alligator infested lake or swamp. They found his body 2 days later I believe.

Now that is what I call JUSTICE!! It didn't cost the taxpayers much.

Enjoy!

Liz,

I think we found our bull. SInce then, the thread has taken on a new purpose - enabling my tool bar, laughing at folks in the Inland Empire who HELOC'd their homes to the moon to buy white trash toys (his and hers, cosmetic surgery for the Mrs, off road vehicles for the Mr.), hobbist automotive stuff, and obscure dirt oval tracks in California.

I grew up on a farm near Bakersfield. Pickup trucks are for work, and cars were for going to town - at least that's the way it was when I was a kid. Somebody went to town on Sunday, they didn't take thier pickup. Pickups are for work.

While it's not like that anymore, I guess that's why I didn't think it was too odd for a contractor to take a car to go see the banker as opposed to his work truck or his 909 ghetto cruiser - many contractors have a 909 ghetto cruiser for a work truck.

My contractor client has a truck. Don't know what kind it is.

The alligators are real. The hub and I were taking a walk--we have different landscapes to choose from, can walk in subdivisions, next to cow pasture, or thru swamp--litteral Florida swamp. Sand road. There were some interesting yellow flowers I walked over to see on the verge of the road, and in the canal area, between the swamp and road, there was an interesting log floating. The part you could see was maybe 4 feet long and 8-10 inches wide.

What's that I say to the hub? Casually. It's an ALLIGATOR!!! says the hub; I stare fascinated, and he drags me away, back to the paved area. If I could see 4 feet, it was probably 8-10 feet. We've seen babies in the swale/drainage ditch area that extends all along our road.

As you can see, I would have been selected against.

They live in the middle of Miami too; some idiots feed the little ones.

LL

I understand that you cannot outrun them. You only had to out run your Hubby. LOL-JUST KIDDING!

NV This is a great group of people with various interests and backgrounds. The old nickname of "Cowboy Cadillac" comes to mind when I see these lifted big tired duallies in OC.For the urban types here the term Cowboy Cadillac referred to decked out pick up trucks.

Irvine 123 It sounds like the Darwin Awards.

Enjoy!

on the HGTV site there is some woman trying to go after Zillow because they won’t either inflate her value or remove her house from the DB. Turns out she’s trying to sell because she bough a new place without selling the old house… yada yada yada we’ve heard it a thousnad times before.

What is really funny is she’s trying to sell her “ordeal” to Fox. Someone laughed at her now she’s trying to force posters to declare their true identity because the scary posters from Zillow message boards are coming to get her.

So we have denial, fear, and bargaining all in one thread - fascinating in a Casey Serin on estrogen horrorshow sort of way.

Interesting shift I've seen recently in bulls/sellers' thinking. Anyone else notice this too?

From denial: "It's not a housing bubble;" "My area is immune;" "Bears are renters who were priced out of the market and don't know what they're talking about;" "The economy is great, subprime is contained;"etc...

To anger and hostility: Blaming individuals and messengers for the problem (the media; blogs, including IHB - see Lansner's blog in particular, ha ha; bears for not buying; HGTV for giving buyers unrealistic expectations about what a house should have; Zillow for supposedly undercutting the real value of their house); "I'm not letting you steal my house;" "I have to keep my house clean, and while it's for sale and all I'm getting are lowball offers;" Attacking the reporter/poster instead of the facts/opinions/analysis

To even signs some signs of desperation: "What more do buyers want?"; "Actually got an offer! I'll bet it's low;" Pleading to buyers to do "the right thing" and buy because peoples' careers are in danger if they don't spend money

Wow, that truthiness guy/girl is really upset.

And what is the "your comment is awaiting moderation" thing? The truthi guy is cussing out another poster with some very foul language. Any idea what the blog is moderating? And to what purpose? Seems whimpy to me. What are they scared of?

Someone get the razorblades. I think we found Johnson.

Graprix, you are full of it. Just a few days back you used “Brandy” which was correct - except it was a dude. The loan information can be had by two means: trotting down to the recorder’s office or paying a fee to an online service. You are a flat out liar. You and your mafia (hat tip to usedtoreadtheregister) are nothing more than cyberbullies. You have hurt men, women and children. Just this past week a 14-year old girl hung herself over cyberbullying. What you are doing is little different than what was done to her. Online harrassment is a new phenomenon, so there aren’t yet adequate laws to protect victims. They will come, just not soon enough to stop you ghouls. I don’t care how much you lie and protest, you are your ilk are cowards bullying others from behind screen names. You know it. I know it. Soon everyone else will know it.

graphrix - That link does not seem to be working. At least not for me.

Do you think maybe one of Truthi's properties was "featured" on IHB? he-he-he

awgee - the system is set up so once a post of yours has been approved the first time, you can post again without having to wait. That's what the delay is about.

They seem to be a little ruffled right now. Truthi commented a couple days ago that people would have to pry "control" of the blog from "my cold, dead hands." Very interesting theater.
