yeah, I have heard of commercial realtors making $300k or so on a single deal before, but i sense parental help here. nothing wrong with that, of course; and yeah, i say it has asian written all over it, just my opinion...
 
oh and one more thing...

when it does come time to get married, expect the parents to have an opinion about EVERYTHING, be sure to find a wife that is used to being controlled, very submissive and has no opinions. noting is for free, you get a house, but the parents are going to be involved in every aspect of your lives... good luck...

battie, do you have any fears with most of your investments tied up in CRE right now? thats the next sector angling for a bailout.

in any case, don't take too much offense to anything anyone, including myself, have said. you offered some information and now the wheels are churning in everyone's minds trying to put together their image of you. you're the new kid and everyone likes speculating about the new kid.

Man it must such to be an owner/investor in CRE right now. The owner of my class B office complex, which is approximately 450K sf, has a nearly 30% vacancy rate... They picked up the properties in 2007 so they are sitting on a big property tax base as well.
 
Give the guy some slack though. You never know, he could have made some incredible investments. But considering that legal age to invest in the stock market or rather anything is 18, then it would be very difficult in such a short period of time to turn a million bucks....well it's not hard, just hard if you have to start with ZERO. If your parents gave you a Million and said hey you can play with this as you wish and after 5 years give it back or whatever you have left of it, then yes....it would have been cake to make several million.

If someone gave me 1M 8 years ago, I would have millions, unfortunately I only started with 3K...collage loan money.

But if you truly started with zero, perhaps like some here, and made 1 Million...then wow...I salute you.

Ahh you can...I wasnt sure if you can put caps in middle of a name...or the fact that you can have spaces between two things.

Generaly speaking, you give me money and I manage it. (assuming you're an accredited investor)

Or if you want to do it on your own, we can work something out. But we really should talk offline if you're serious.
