I put that in the $900- $450 each from the state+ I think it's $25 federal. So 475$ per person, per week.
covers all basics including food+utilities+home for us actually, and of course movies at Starplex![]()

Welcome to the club CZ. I get so excited when my $950 check arrives, woohoo!
I just got asked to continue to contract/consult back through September, the 2nd such extension, so we're not dipping into savings yet. Won't be long for us though...
Hopefully there will be a Fed extension of unemployment benefits this Fall, otherwise all you get is those 26 weeks and for some, that is not nearly enough.

I'm not sure if you have any debts but if you don't you could really have a great time on $49,400 per year in other parts of the world or US. If it were me I'd go on a adventure.
Cubic Zirconia said:There is an extension already- if you check on that small statement for your record with every check, you will know that date- they will add in more money if you run out automatically, as long as you are actively looking.
I can totally relate to that woohoo expression![]()

E-mail those banking industry postings my man.irvine_home_owner said:How is the employment for everyone? I've read posts from several regulars that they've been laid off but I think they've found new jobs.
For the first time this year, I've actually received postings from a tech source regarding open senior positions in my field (not the Chippendale dancer one).
Interestingly enough, one was for banking industry and the other was for real estate, specializing in REOs.
I'll be ready to join the club sometime in September.ipoplaya said:Cubic Zirconia said:MojoJD said:SoCal78 said:Cubic Zirconia said:Hypothetical situation that we mentally readied ourselves for several days is here.

Zovall and IR must be doing something right to have posters in this salary range and I suggest pitching this site to Neiman Marcus and Saks to advertise some banner ads.
I think the $600+ just jumped to 10.
