Holy precipitation!!

Scorching heat only a couple hours ago, unpleasant surprise if you were drying something outside...
 
I manually ran the sprinklers last night and forgot to turn them off until like two hours later. And now we get this pouring rain? I hope the over watering doesn't kill the plants.
 
I went to starbucks on the way home and it totally felt like Christmas.  People sipping their lattes in the store while it was raining outside. 

Kind of whimsical actually.

I have a rainbird timer in the garage. Just wanted to give them a little extra water cause if the heat. Interesting system though.
 
And with it comes holy traffic.

I know it's cliche to complain about rain and traffic in SoCal but man, took me twice as long to get anywhere this morning.

School drop off was twice as crowded. Everyone drove today.

Ironically it took me forever to get anywhere, not because of the rain, but because a driver didn't pull up all the way to the left turn lane so we never got the arrow :(
 
We walked as usual, a nice stroll with our umbrellas.  We're so spoiled in SoCal, people behaving like rain is toxic or something.
