High school for Woodbury area???

I am not so concerned about H.S since it'll be another 14 years before my 2 months old baby (yes my wife is pregnant) will go there.

The reason I ask is because when I looked up H.S locator from IUSD. For Woodbury, it's pointing to Irvine H.S but there's a little fine print saying that area from Trabuco can choose between Northwood or Irvine H.S

"Effective as of the 2007-08 school year:

The area between Trabuco and Interstate 5 is assigned to Irvine High School. Enrollment will be permitted at Northwood High School. "

each area has a primary HS and alternates. you are always able to attend your primary if you live in the designated neighborhoods, and can be put on a waiting list to attend an alternate if they have availability.

i had a friend who grew up in northwood and attended uni. it happens, but its EXTREMELY rare. uni and northwood almost NEVER have availability because they max their enrollment just with students in their designated neighborhoods.

looks like although there's an open enrollment policy, for all intents and purposes it can't be utilized. scroll to the bottom of the link.
