This species has done such a marvelous job in brutally exterminating its own kind that there sure are a couple of massacres/genocides for every taste: Auschwitz, Rwanda, Sabra and Shatila, Darfur, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, 9/11, My Lai, Cambodia, Armenia, Tlatelolco, ... - You name it.

I happened to be touched most by this one not because it had the highest toll, but just the timing as I was an [del]idealistic[/del] humanist teenager asking myself why we just couldn?t live together peacefully and share the one home we had.

RIP those who were killed in the massacre in Tiananmen Square. I hope the Chinese government acknowledges the massacre and its mistakes one day, tells the world how many people were killed and releases the protestors who are still in jail today.
