Happy MLK Day!

I don't think this holiday is recognized enough... and I wish more offices gave it off.

Two things that always happen on MLK day for me:

1. Get to watch NBA early.
2. If the lights are still up... this is the day I take them down.

You guys think I am kidding... just took down the lights now.

I forget it's much faster than putting them up... but I still procrastinate... I think houses should be lit up 365... heh.

Today's inauguration has had an underwhelming response here. Nobody has mentioned it. So, too, was the underwhelming amount of ticket sales for the event.

Not sure I believe you. Have you been keeping them lit the entire time?

No... I unplugged them 1 or 2 weeks ago (I was waiting until one other house took down their lights).

There is still one house close by whose lights are still up and lit... so I'm not the record holder.

Iho, you're coming dangerously close to being one of those dreadful "holiday-mixers". I'll bet you had a jack o' lantern on your doorstep at Thanksgiving. If so, it's too late for you.

Hey... if malls and stores can decorate for the holidays 2 or 3 months in advance, I can leave my lights up for a month after.
