This photo screams "pet stains".
And... just pray that if you ever do have a fire, that it doesn't start in the electrical fuse panel.
I guess it's not so much the picture, but the description.....

This is a mini farm in the making, Beautiful Red Barn, Huge Colonial that needs total renovation (or take it down and start new) The House has been used as a barn for 30 years. It's substantial but needs everything. Pond, meadows, and beautiful views.

This pool makes me sad. Someone once spent a small fortune to put this in.

Oh... my... gawd... you have no idea how bad that house really is. It has been condemned by the city of VP and has uninhabitable fliers stapled all over it. It's near my house and I had to go check out the open house. I had already looked at it when it just got condemned, before it went back to the bank, and I thought it would be too soon for the bank to have done any work since they took it back on 12/11. I was right, they haven't touched it. The pictures do not show the destruction this house has been through. My hunch is that it was used to launder drug money, and I will tell more when I snap some of the really scary pics and do a post about it. This place is not worth $608k when a home four houses down sold for $620k, and it had a kitchen, no giant holes in the wall and floor, the doors could be shut and locked, baths/showers in every bathroom, and had all of its windows and none of them were bolted shut or boarded up. Oh and it was 300 sqft. bigger too. It needs about $200k worth of work to make it livable and fairly nice, but it could be more because I didn't do an in depth inspection.

Yes, what looks like NTS fliers stapled and/or taped to the house are the uninhabitable fliers. Also, if you look at the window at the top right on the second story, what looks like wood hiding behind the pine tree is, well, wood that is boarding up the window that is missing.

I have very traditional taste but I actually like what they've done with the place. Looks like it could be a fun place to have cocktails and go for a swim. I like the lounge theme. Fun for single people. With that amount of attention to detail (the monogrammed wall and custom upholstered chez lounge chair, the landscaping) I'll bet they take great care of the house and property. Troop, do you think you'd be interested in it if you were ready to retire and move out to Palm Springs?

I would have to see what the front of the house looked like and what neighborhood it was in. They also don't show the kitchen...... so I'm guessing it needs work.
I like the backyard and the pool, also the amount of windows in the back of the house to look out onto it. The view is very nice. I guess without the rest of the pictures, it's hard to tell.

Very sad. At some point somebody who loved that home put in that pool. I hope they don't see it in its current condition. I'd never want to see my former homes looking like that.
