Free Cat Sitting & Wash for the Holidays

Hi all, Kevin from Woodbridge here; I hope this isn't too 'spammy' for my first post, long time lurker here.

I'm trying to start a small business and am offering my services for free to test out the local market. I want to start a Self-Serve Cat Wash, Boarding & Lounge, but market research studies have been erratic to say the least. I figure, what better way than to reach out to actual cat owners in the neighborhood, build real relations & test the idea out.

I am not currently insured or bonded; but I am willing to Cat Sit and give your Cat a Bath (at your home) with or without you being there. If you are going out of town for the Holidays, I can come by and make sure your Cat is Fed & Safe and Cared for.

I do have a Full Time Job, and I have a busy Family; but I can drop by at least for 10 minutes or so every day or every other day to make sure things are ok; I can take pictures, video or put the cat on Skype (my phone) ^_^ for you. I live in Stone Creek Woodbridge so I will only consider neighbors who are within about 5-minute radius. First Come, First Serve; please have a list of Dates you like me to come. I'm available Weekday Afternoons about 5:45 pm, Saturday Mornings about 10-12 am; Saturday Afternoons, 3pm; & Sunday Mornings 10-12 am; Sunday Afternoons 3 pm.

1. When we had cats, they hated getting bathed (so we took them to the groomers).

2. How much is it to get insured/bonded? Not sure how many people who don't know you personally are willing to trust you to go into their homes without that kind of assurance.

3. Welcome to TI and good luck with your business.

hey IHO, thanks for letting me post... yeah right; that is the difficult part.  I don't plan on Cat Sitting once I get a Retail Location; so I'm not sure if I want to invest in insurance, but I guess it's going to come in handy with the Boarding.  I do want to bring the Cat Cafe movement to OC, and being a Groomer/Boarding facility might make it easier with the Health Department.  I don't like how most Cat Cafes in planning will have to have essentially two separate businesses, the Cafe from the Cat portion.

If any of you have any ideas or feedback, would sure love some; you can read more about what I'm trying to do here:http://www.laundrocat.com/self-serve-catch-wash/http://www.laundrocat.com/cafe/

As for any kind of assurance; I would certainly like to meet you guys first before any arrangements are made.  Maybe also set up some IP Cameras as part of the package/visit?  I'm open to ideas; I'm also guessing, Asians aren't too keen on cats ownership, but would frequent a Cafe, much like Taiwan or Japan.  But I'm not too keen about Irvine Co as a landlord, prices & restrictions.

You've got the cats.
You've got the cafe.
Add one more element and you're sitting on a gold mine:
