Campaign promises are nothing more than promises. Chances are you will see that Obama is not the messiah that everyone seems to think.
I am responsible for the finances in my house. My husband owns a business. If we are taxed any higher than we are now, we will have to cut jobs. Period. 2 years ago I wrote a check to the govt that was by far larger than an check I've ever written in my life. We are not wealthy, meaning we cannot live without working.

McCain attacks Obama for distributing wealth...what do you call McCain wanting to give billions to homeowners going into forclosure by adjusting their loans? That "my friend" is what we call distribution of wealth and the wrong way by proping up artificual values of homes.

But we provide jobs, not crappy hourly wage kinds of jobs, but salaried jobs for educated people, and no, not thousands of them, but this will effect us and our ability to continue to provide those jobs.

The answer is: every person who started their own business from scratch and was successful enough to require help, so they hired people. Remakably, these kinds of businesses don't require anything more than customers and hard work. If your taxes go up, you have a choice rather than just fire people; you can charge more for your services, you can cut salaries across the board, or you can accept a lower profit margin. Your tax rate does not dictate a single course of action, even if your attitude does.NancyBotwin said:The answer is never. So for those of you on the "obama" cusp, hold onto your shorts.

You are a remarkably narrow-minded person.

And you on the basis of your user name alone are a douche.
I find it fascinating that I am having this discussion on a board discussing housing and how none of you can afford to buy houses in the Irvine utopia. Since none of you are in this position, perhaps you might give the benefit of the doubt to the person who has gone out of their way to try to make OC a better place.
Oh thats right this is a bear board an no dissent is allowed.
Its not called the Orange Curtain for nothing.

Then leave. Nobody is forcing you to have a discussion other than your own obsession of having your own voice heard.
As far as affording a home...didn't you mention not that long ago in a thread that you live next to a few child molestors in Santa Ana?
