Just curious what you guys thought about the Foothill Ranch area. I haven't seen much posted about it here. I'm in a pretty good position right now, but sort of sick of renting 1 bdrm IAC apartments for the past decade. Want something a little bigger, but that's gonna cost nearly $2000 per month. If I'm going to pay that much, I figure maybe I take the plunge and see if I can find a deal.

I noticed there are some properties in the Foothill Ranch area that are around $350K-$360K for smaller 3/3 or 3/2.5 detached condos with low HOA of around $75/month. Almost all have 2-car attached garage and some even have jacuzzis in the backyard.

Any thoughts on this area and the prices?

I used the search button for "foothill ranch" and <a href="http://www.irvinehousingblog.com/forums/viewthread/3908/">I found this</a>.

Thanks! Not sure that really answers my question though (but an interesting read definitely). It seems like most people think it's a good area -- but that doesn't mean that it's way overpriced compared to other OC areas.

Or that those prices I'm seeing aren't still way too high.

A lot of those places do seem cookie cutter as there are lots of as many as 25 homes that are identical. Definitely a downer but not having to pay irvine taxes and hoa is a bonus!
