We used Antimite.

Not sure how we ended up with them, I think I initially went with them based on price and speed of service. We were on a quarterly maintenance with them and the guy was very familiar with our issues and addressed them well. We also used them for termites and they were very reasonably priced.

Not on any service now, called Antimite out for a one-time ant spraying, was a different guy, so not sure if they've re-assigned our previous guy or he's moved on.

How much did they charge for a single trip?
It seems like most services require a qurterly spray when we probably only need once or twice a year.

We used Oceanfront Pest Control (http://www.yelp.com/biz/oceanfront-pest-control-tustin-3) for the past 2 years.  We have them done annually and never saw the ants again.  $175.

We recently used Pro Pacific Bee & Pest Control because we had a wasp nest that had been established by our infant's nursery. For $175, they sprayed the inside and outside (for ants, spiders and some other pests that are listed on their website) and removed the wasp nest, and offered a 30-day warranty. They also had a Yelp deal for first time customers, which brought my service down to $150. They advise that you stay out of your house for 2-4 hours to let the sprays dry.

We also called the following companies:

(1) Accurate Termite ($129, but did not include removal of the nest) - not sure about the warranty
(2) Swarm Pest Control - left a message but never heard back
(3) Oceanfront Pest Control ($175 + $199 for nest removal) - 2-month warranty for the interior & exterior spray, 1 year for the wasp nest
(4) Turn of the Century ($150 or $175 for one time service) - 30 day warranty

All of the companies pushed hard for their regular (monthly/quarterly) service, especially Turn of the Century. He must have called me 5-6 times to push that service until I advised him that I had gone w/ another company.

do you guys recommend one time annual sprays or quarterly?

I do quarterly and find the total absence of ants worth it.
But if i can get the same results, maybe I'll try to save a few dollars and do annual.

We live in WB and found that annual doesnt do the job for us.  We use Oceanfront Pest and pay $450 a year for 6 times a year.  They are flexible in scheduling and have come out adhoc if we notice bugs.

With annual, we were seeing ants and silverfish regularly.
