Never buy by the shot at K clubs, always the whole bottle. They will put your name on it and keep it safe until your next visit.

divisions exist even amongst the younger generation. at most colleges with a large enough population of asians, you'll usually find different student groups for mainland chinese, taiwanese, and HKers. at my school there were even two distinct clubs for koreans. the korean students association were known as KSA: Korean Smokers & Alcoholics and comprised of spikey haired kids who liked to go clubbing, preferably in shiny black kenneth cole shirts. the other group was comprised of international students and evangelicals.

there is a wonderful movie called "<a href="http://www.filmreference.com/Films-Chr-Czl/City-of-Sadness.html">City of Sadness</a>" about the postwar period in taiwan. in the film you'll hear at least 4 dialects of chinese (mandarin, taiwanese, cantonese, and shanghainese) as well as japanese, meaning even native chinese need subtitles. one unintentionally funny scene involves rival street toughs getting into it, but requiring multiple translators to pass along their taunts to each other.</blockquote>

I was the Taiwanese, that hung out with the KSAs in the downtown club scene,, did the whole night life... after-hours, after-after hours... till dawn on a Saturday night... got to my car.. put on the dress shirt and went to Sunday morning, bible study and church...

RC, do you remember Velfarre Nightclub in K-Town ten years ago off of Wilshire Blvd? This place dwarfed Karnak. I wouldn't be suprised if Trojanman hit the clubs at Vels because that was "THE PLACE" to hang out in K-Town back then.

In OC we also have a hot spot to cure Asian Fever. Stand outside of South Coast Plaza and wear a sign that read like this "I will purchase a handbag for you for a date and I will carry your handbag after we get married".

I think we need to change the title of this thread from "Ethnic Composition Forecast of Irvine" to "Asian Composition Forecast of Irvine". BK, here in midwest, we don't call it "Asian Fever", we call it "Yellow Fever".

Does "yellow" exclude Filipino, Indonesian and other dark skin Asian women?

Does "yellow" exclude Filipino, Indonesian and other dark skin Asian women? Military guys have a thing for south east Asian islanders.

<strong>As somebody with military experience, I'd like to correct the record and say that military guys have a thing for any women who reside just outside the gates of the base they happen to be stationed on.</strong>

Just make sure they are actually women. And even that isn't 100% accurate... in Asia... it's not just LV bags that can be faked.

Quote from 1790 by Lt. William Bligh, captain of HMS Bounty, about British sailors and Tahitian women:

"The Women are handsome ... and have sufficient delicacy to make them admired and beloved - The chiefs have taken such a liking to our People that they have rather encouraged their stay among them than otherwise, and even made promises of large possessions. Under these and many other attendant circumstances equally desirable it is therefore now not to be Wondered at ... that a Set of Sailors led by Officers and void of connections ... should be governed by such powerful inducement ... to fix themselves in the midst of plenty in the finest Island in the World where they need not labour, and where the alurements of disipation are more than equal to anything that can be conceived."

Thus began the military guys love of Asian islanders.

Well, it's a good thing I was in Puerto Rico for my entire tour. I'm sure that type of thing would never exist in the Latin culture, right? Would it?

In some parts of Asia it's not uncommon to see kathoeys (Thai lady-boys). Walk around Orchid Rd in Singapore at night and you'd spot small groups of them walking around.

There's been a few high profile TG celebrities in South Korea in recent years. You can google um... "Choi Han Bit" for her pictures.

In almost every country, male to female TG out-number female to male. Taiwan is a rare exception where there's more female to male TG's.

Now, I have to say that's one slick way of asking to check out someone's polish sausage...

Or I misunderstood your intention again, bk? ;)
